While viewing this original mixed-media art, you may notice some are on gallery-wrapped canvas, some framed on canvas board, or others on wooden art board. I find that depending on my vision, some surfaces better lend themselves for the methods I have in mind. For example, if I know I want to keep it somewhat light, I'll use a canvas panel, however, if I know I want to get more "physical", I'll use the canvas board or wooden art board, as they can handle it!
The term "mixed-media" leaves an open door to creating. You will find that I use primarily acrylic paints and mediums, accented with an endless assortment, such as charcoal, papers, copper, stones, inks and pastels, to name just a few.
Most pieces are brought about from Nature's Inspiration. Others may have quite the story behind them. If you'd like to know more about any piece, just let me know, I love to share their stories!
